British Picture Vocabulary Scale (BPVS version 3) 

The British Picture Vocabulary Scale (BPVS3) is a receptive vocabulary assessment for children aged 3-16 years. It measures a child’s understanding of spoken words by having them choose a picture that best represents a given word.  It will provide a standardised score and a percentile ranking. 

Intervention Team members will work with each student at Lower and Upper to complete this with them as part of their Induction. 

For Dragonfly students, this is completed when it is clinically appropriate to do so.
