Mathematics is essential to everyday life, critical to science, technology and engineering, and necessary for financial literacy. An education in mathematics provides a basis for understanding the world, the ability to reason mathematically, and a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about the subject. 

We use White Rose Maths across the whole school. It is a child-centred approach that focuses on problem solving, paired work and pictorial representations. The schemes of learning closely follow the National Curriculum objectives for each year group.
