At Horizon School, Outdoor Education gives students the opportunity for hands on experiences through which they develop their understanding and application of our school values and successful learning skills. These experiences give depth, enrichment and an outdoor perspective which will enable them to become confident, resilient and determined learners.  

The students work within the natural environment to gain understanding and respect for the natural world and all that lives within it. We recognise that many of our students do not get the equal opportunities outside school to experience the outdoors and nature.  

Students work towards AQA Unit Awards in this subject.
